Life:The best teacher

Learn from your mistakes,
Learn from your past.
Work hard daily and sincerely,
As today is your last.

Learn from your experiences,
Learn from the people you meet in your path.
Be steady as a rock
And never bend like a twig of a new plant.

Learn from sadness,
Learn from human or material loss.
Don't lose your heart,
As it won't forever last.

Learn from books,
Learn from life at task.
Give love, spread happiness
And remain positive in life till your last.

SMALL TOWNS OF INDIA

I am not anti-social,just can't adjust with this lot;
Feel claustrophic coz I am not of this sort;
Lack of scope makes the place rot;
Feel sorry for the future gen., whose life will become a knot;
There are exceptions who make it big but the number is as small as a dot.

The charm is rustic, here people still sleep on a cot;
I can hear the birds' chirping and see the women carry water in a pot;
The nature pulls me towards the good and towards the bad; not.
The place sounds sweet but I bet you its not that easy to grow in this sort.
Regrets and qualms, I have not; to live in small towns is not an easy cakewalk.

Love yourself

For me, freedom is loving myself, freedom is having the right to speak what I want, write what I feel for and roam where ever my heart asks for.
The soul when free is at its creative best. The divine soul is meant to reside in the human body and not to be jailed.
Perform your worldly duties well, don't shove off from the responsibilities you are shouldered on but let your soul also breathe, feed it with the food of music/books/gardening (food for my soul) or whatever it craves for.
If you don't know yourself, what it asks for; take out time for yourself, love yourself.
Begin and end your day loving yourself. Live for yourself with all the other things you do in this world.
Close your eyes, listen to the sounds of Nature: the chirping of birds, the musical notes of the cuckoo bird, feel the breeze brushing your face with freshness.
Love and act what you loved doing once, act and find love in something new. It will give you immense happiness, bliss, charge the batteries of your life with positivism.
Don't wait for anyone to come and console or cajole or motivate you.
Start loving yourself now because it's better late than never.
Love yourself and spread the love.

Life

Life is beautiful, life is wonderful;
as pretty as a rose.

Life is tough, life is rough;

It is like the wind with a gush.

Life is joy, life is happiness;

as bright as a full lit moon.

Life gives surprises and some shocks,
as David Blaine and The Illusionist's stars.

Life is sure sometimes unsure

and we can gape and do nothing at all.

Shakespeare said it right,

''The world is a stage."

So be it and I say ciao.

Woman

A woman can only understand the woes of another woman;

The happiness on her face I can only read

because a woman can only understand another woman.

The sorrow on her face reflects

while she hides it under a plastic smile;

The world thinks she is happy inside

but I know

as a woman can only understand another woman.

MY TOMORROW:INDIA

I HAVE A DREAM OF DEVELOPED INDIA, WHERE education is imparted to each and everyone, there is no disparity between the rich and poor. I wish I could read news about progress being done in each sector and not about downfall.
My vision of tomorrow is that I never hear the news of people dying of blood loss or people dying on the streets because of hunger or poverty. I wish everything becomes perfect tomorrow.
We all work hard, pay our taxes, still we are not able to avail the facilities which a government should be providing for. Don’t you people think we are asking for our rights?
Bribes, corruption, murder, robbery these are the words I don’t want to hear anymore. Why can’t everything be positive?
In future I want to see happy children, happy mothers, happy families who all are satisfied with the basic needs.
 Every third person in India is the youth, which means by 2020, India will become the youngest nation in the world.

Youth has the power, positivity and you and me can and WILL change India for good.

Inner Voice

Close to me
Close to you
He is in me
and you.

Look deep inside
No need to find Him
anywhere else.

Meditate
 listen to the Inner voice calling you
Wait
have patience
the answer will come to you.

My Mom

You gave me life
Made me breathe
Made me walk
Made me talk
You held me tight
In your arms
Loved me
Cared for me
Protected me
My mom
Taught me
And when I didn’t listen
You even scolded me
My mom
I remember all these moments
And miss you
My mom
Just wanna say
I love you
Forever
My mom

HORRENDOUS EXPERIENCE OF TRAVELLING BY TRAIN IN INDIA

I was too excited as I was heading to my home, Agra. But as soon as I stepped inside Tapti Ganga Express my mood drastically transformed from a blissful one to cheerless. Firstly, as I saw the train boarding at Khandwa station I got petrified gazing at the throng of people at the doors of the train and inside it. I had to get inside swiftly as the train pauses there only for two minutes. I took my seat which was already occupied by two people. I wanted to tell the individuals to get up from there but in the entire coach the site was the same. A coach has 72 seats but more than 100 people were swarmed. The filthy stares of the men forcefully made me write about MY nauseating experience. I was getting bothered and started anticipating for the ticket collector to look into the matter. When I saw him approaching, mixed thoughts came into my mind. I knew he would do NOTHING about it. At the same time I imagined him as a dutiful Government servant who would fine all the extra people in the coach. Nothing like that happened and he passed away from the coach like a BLIND man. The carefree attitude of the Railways provoked and aggravated my frustration with the disgraceful stares of the men who made me feel insecure and unconfident about myself. I am posting a video which says,
 MERA THARKI INDIA..Do watch it and ponder over it.

  The onus lies on all of us in changing the society. I am probably doing my bit by writing. As it is aptly said,
 PEN IS MIGHTIER THAN THE SWORD.

Journey

You are with me
I'm with you;

Together on a journey
with all the directions new;

Days are few
so much to view;

We walk together,
Hand in hand

You are my beau.

I am Scared. Yes I am

Are we all scared? I am.
 A girl's wedding is going on next to my place, aged below 18 years from a humble background.
She was so happy and hopeful of a positive future that while I went to meet her, she asked her parents to buy her a microwave for her new kitchen.
For a moment I was awakened by the fact that I should stop her from getting married or at least inform her about the problems she can have because of her early marriage. But, suddenly the news of a woman's arms being cut for the FIR she lodged about a 'Child Marriage' near her village struck me.
Questions, faces of men and women, society flashed in front of me. I realised that I can't do anything as I was alone. The India government, media is doing its bit. But I could not. Why?
The reality is I was scared. Scared of the society, scared of the people who think marrying their daughters off early is good for them.
Many girls are dying because of early pregnancies but some people are not worried and scared about these issues. It can be anyone's daughter or sister who is married at an early age. I don't blame the girl who is happy today on her marriage, she is getting all the attention, it is her D Day but her family, parents, relatives should have thought of the risk which she will carry with her.
"KYA FAYDA USE PADHAKAR, BYAH HI TO KARNA HAI" USE AUR PHIR BACHHE SAMBHALNE HAIN"
THIS THINKING STILL PERSISTS I AM A WITNESS OF IT.
Here still women are uneducated, still they cover they wear veils in front of men, still they think getting the beating from the husband is a part of marriage, not wrong, still women think men enjoying physical relationships with other women is "Okay" because he is a "MAN" and when I asked one of the women, if she is involved in such an activity, she says:
"My husband will shoo me off as this is immoral."
 So, we have different standards based on gender and such things still exist. I am not being pessimistic, I know the change is coming but I can't see it in some places.

WOMAN

Some women are strong,
some weak;
Wish the weak become stronger
All come together,
Show the women's power.

Fight for the freedom,
Don't let anyone put you in the cage forever.
Open up your wings
And fly together
High and higher

Believe in yourself
and in your dreams
Realize the power, Oh Woman!
It lies within you and me,
change the world.

Why Oh why!
Oh Mother, Oh Wife,
You forget about your rights
When you fulfil all your duties
Why do you sacrifice
and repent it later?

God has made you
capable of bringing
life on this earth;
Don't just watch
or bear the torture,
speak up for yourself
and stand for the women
always and forever.
